Out of all the countries I’ve been to – including Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar in Southeast Asia – Ukraine is the cheapest. I was able to see ballets, eat extremely well and do everything I wanted spending less per day than what a hostel in Paris or Amsterdam costs per night.
Old towns are a dime a dozen in Europe, but Lviv, Ukraine is unique. This old city is rough around the edges compared to others but still a beautiful throwback to what Europe must have been like a century ago.
